Secret Music News, August 2018

Hi -

  Summer is here and when I'm not trying to beat the heat, I'm working or
taking pictures somewhere. I've had a couple of great people come into the studio lately
and there's more to come. If you're a local musician or just passing
through and you'd like to come in for an interview or performance, I'd
like that a lot. Just drop me a line and we'll work something out.

  So far this month, I hosted a live performance and interview with Markus
Reuter and Mark Wingfield and a live interview with Meg Bowles. Markus is a great guy and
him and Mark put on an excellent performance together. I'm always happy to
see Markus again. And Meg is a wonderful human being and it's always a
pleasure to get to talk to her. And coming up I have a live performance
and interview with Peter Calandra. He recently moved to the area and I'm
eager to have him back on the show.

  Coming up in September (right after Labor Day) is the annual WVKR pledge
drive. WVKR is a college station that gets some funding from the school, but not enough
to do the things we need to do. It's always heartwarming to me to see the
response I get during the fundraiser. People enjoy the show enough to help
us to stay on the air. I treasure those moments. If anyone wants to help
out, it's certainly appreciated. CD's and other such stuff is always
welcome to use as premiums for donations, and I'm always open to new
ideas. Drop me a line and let me know.

  I've gotten some great new music lately, and I always appreciate it. If
you've got something new you'd like me to hear, just let me know. CD's are always appreciated,
but downloads are fine and dandy as well. Whichever you prefer. There's a
few of you out there that I haven't heard from in a while. If you suspect
you're one of those people, get in touch and we'll compare notes.
